Another great collaboration with the Pleix boys, this time two 30 sec commercials for Infiniti. Most of the shots featured a combination of real paint shot at high speed t (up to 2000 frames per second) and CG enhancements & elements like splashes, drops, threads of paint etc. There were also shots in which the paint waves were entirely CG. Andrew Proctor and I worked together producing all the CG paint animations as well as reflections, shadows and floor ripples to integrate the car with the environment. This was challenging at the time as it was very hard to deal with fluids of that size and complexity.
